This year's admissions process was exceptionally lengthy, as we had a large number of highly qualified applicants.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you a position within the department for Fall 2006.  You should receive an official letter to this effect from the Dean's Office in the near future.  We truly appreciate your application and wish you the very best in all your future endeavors.
